Step by step the boys in the band. I didn´t like the first 1980 film and I don´t like the remake. 40 years later, the message is the same. Gay men are full of self-loathing and cynicism, no matter if the story takes place in the 60´s or not. There is absolutely no reason to redo this film and I don´t care if the actors are gay or not. There was a lot of overacting, especially by Jim Parsons whom I´ve always seen doing miserable and very unappealing characters, so he doesn´t add anything to his credentials and neither do the others.
